AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Sawgrass Mills/Sunrise

As Marriott Gold members, we have stayed at other AC locations and had great experiences. This one however, was not great. The first room we were assigned to smelled like somebody left poop in to toilet. I checked the bathroom because it smelled so bad. The carpet looked like it had never been vacuumed, and there were clumps of hair and fake eyelashes both in the bed and bath rooms. My husband requested another room. The second room has dirty socks in the trash, and garbage left by coffee makers. At this point, it's probably 11pm and we just want to shower and go to bed. There was NO shampoo or shower gel, just empty bottles. And when you get in the shower, there is so much dust that sticks to your feet, you can tell the floor is rarely cleaned. We had to utilize the sofa bed and they only offer sheets and no warm blankets. The thermostat is super bright and we tried hanging a towel to dim it. There was so much noise until after midnight and early in the morning. It's like everyone that leaves early, slams their doors. We originally booked two nights and we're so disappointed and exhausted, we cancelled the second night and cut out trip early.

Amazing hotel with modern rooms and an exceptional location. Elizabeth at the front desk, is truly remarkable. Her assistance, patience, and overall professionalism significantly enhanced my stay, turning it into an unforgettable experience. Staying onsite of Sawgrass offered us convenient access to amazing restaurants and shops within walking distance. Love their happy hour specials and amazing buffet breakfast. Definitely coming back!

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at AC Hotel on Sawgrass, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst hotel stays of my life. What made it even more unbearable was the abysmal customer service provided by the manager, Alex Herrera, ( He said he's the manager I hope that's a mistake and it was a lie his side) From the moment I checked in, it was clear that this hotel was not up to par. The lobby was dingy, and the atmosphere felt anything but welcoming. However, I was willing to give it a chance, hoping that the room would be better. The problems with my room didn't end with the unpleasant smell, But the real nightmare began when I encountered Alex Herrera, the manager. Instead of being helpful and accommodating, he was incredibly rude and dismissive. When I attempted to address the issues with my room, he brushed me off, claiming that the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available. He made no effort to rectify the situation or make my stay more comfortable. In conclusion, my stay at AC Hotel with manager Alex Herrera was a complete disaster. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice and look elsewhere for accommodations.

The staff were amazing. Easy check in and quick service when using the app to request things. Room was spacious and quiet with room service being friendly and doing a good job. Location was perfect to the mall and Panthers Ice Hockey. Easy to get to the Everglades, Flamingo Gardens etc. The hotel was perfect for me, so highly recommended.
